The South Shore is not only a great place to live, it is also a great place to work. Much like the rest of North America, there is a labour shortage of skilled, managerial and technical workers. Welders and construction workers, health professionals, early childhood educators, engineers and technicians are just SOME of the jobs that are "in demand."
The $25 billion Irving Shipbuilding contract will also provide additional opportunities for people to "live here and work there" – meaning they can enjoy the quality of life on the South Shore, with a short commute to work in Halifax.
